Matt has a new hunting buddy!

Last weekend was a big one for Mayson...she went on her first hunt. Last weekend, Matt decided to see how she would do and if she could sit still. He took her coyote hunting and she had a blast! She had to wear Hunter's camo and cover up with one of Matt's tshirts and a belt. They went out and she got to do her own calling and play in the dirt and throw rocks in the rainwater. They were just hanging out when Matt called one in and it was about 400 yards away. Matt asked Mayson if she saw it and she said yes (no way) and then he told her to get her earmuffs on. So she did and then he took a shot and she looked up at him and said "Did you get it Daddy?" with the cutest look. She was super excited and had to bring it home for Mommy and Hunter to see. We took a look and she said that it was taking a really long nap. Glad she doesn't realize that it won't wake up!!! Anyways, Matt has a new buddy to take along until Hunter gets older.

She came home and took a nap and then it was time for Little Zach's birthday party. She got dressed in her butterfly tshirt and hot pink tutu and off we went. Thankfully she has some girliness left in her.

Well, what a week...

Last week started with a little bit of coughing and we ended up in the hospital. Mayson started hacking away last Wednesday so I took her to the doctor on Thursday and she had bronchitis. She started breathing treatments that day. Then Dr. Williams asked how Hunter was doing and I said "Oh, he is doing great, I don't think he will catch this"

Well, by Saturday I was giving him breathing treatments and on Monday called to get him on the same antibiotics as Mayson assuming he had the same thing. Wrong, he had RSV (Respitory Syncytial Virus) which is the equivilant of an adult having a severe cold for 2-3 weeks. She decided to admit him to the hospital because he needed oxygen and a lung xray. The Xray came back fine and he did have to go on oxygen last night. So far today he has been off of it and we are getting to go home in about an hour.

Matt and Mayson have been to the store for groceries and lots of Lysol. I have to sanitize everything to kill the virus. Last time I used 2 bottles of Bleach. Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Hopefully they both get better. Mayson was supposed to start swim lessons yesterday so hopefully she can go next week.

Love
Becky

Funny Story of the Week: Matt has been driving to Hatch for the new apartment complex up there and today he called and told me to get out my checkbook because he had gotten a speeding ticket. I laughed and told him he could pay it himself and that it wasn't part of my "household" budget! Then Mayson wanted to talk to him. Matt pretended he was the police officer and she got scared that he was going to jail. He kept going on and on and she kept telling me that we needed to go and get Daddy out of jail and that I had to pay.

We got off the phone and for 20 minutes she went on and on about daddy in jail. She said she needed to go get her piggy bank so we could go and get him. We finally called him back and made him convince him that he was fine. She had been talking about the police all day! Thanks Matt! To back track a little, a few months ago she figured out how to loosen her carseat and we would be driving along and all of a sudden she could almost get out. We had a long talk about police officers that come and take little girls away if they don't wear their carseats correctly, since then all Mayson does when we drive is look for the police and she has become very anal about her seatbelt being super tight so they won't get her. I have created a fear of the police that I hope will last until she graduates from high school!!

We also played dress up and rode our new truck to the park. I wasn't sure how far it would go but it made it there and back which is about 1/2 a mile. Mayson was Snow White of course and Hunter wore his purple tutu for awhile until he changed into his construction gear. Here are some pictures of that:

Welcome!

Hi everyone!

I decided to start this blog to help everyone keep up the Mayson and Hunter. My goal is to update it weekly with their adventures, funny stories, and pictures. Right now they are napping so I have the time to start.

We just got back from Alpine where we had a great time snowmobiling, sledding, and building a snowman. Hunter looked like the little boy from the Christmas Story and when he fell he was so puffy he couldn't get up. The first day I had him in two layers of clothes plus a snowsuit, jacket, scarf, hat, and gloves. He sure was warm but could not move! Mayson had a blast as well and bossed everyone around and picked who would drive her in the snowmobile. Most of the time it was Daddy or Poppy. I drove Hunter around and he sat so still I thought he fell asleep. He was exhausted from walking in the snow and after our adventures outside(for maybe an hour) Hunter would nap for 3 hours.

We got home on Sunday and after being gone almost every weekend in December we were happy to be home. This week is being spent reorganizing and cleaning out closets and getting our donation to Goodwill ready. The kids go back to preschool on Thursday so by next week we should be back in our routine.

Hunter is talking away with his favorite words being "NO" and "Mine". He is understanding everything just not talking too much. I guess he won't be the chatterbox his older sister is. His next checkup is in February and I think he will be close to 30 lbs. He seems to getting taller too!

Here are some pictures.
